Kluaymai Beach Bungalows

With a spectacular location right on Bangrak beach, Kluaymai Beach Bungalows are a budget traveller’s dream. With just six rooms, Kluaymai is intimate and cozy. It is perfect for a getaway focused on peace and tranquility on a beachfront setting but with all the modern amenities that make for a comfortable stay.

The air-conditioned villas are relatively new and spotless with nice touches such as a TV, large wardrobe, fridge, kettle and cups. The bathroom is brightly lit, with good water pressure and enormous counter space (by Southeast Asian standards). The lovely sound of waves breaking on the shore can be heard from the rooms. There is excellent wifi reception in the rooms and even on the beach.

Large sliding doors open to a landscaped pathway leading to the beach, only a few steps away. There is a small covered patio and beach chairs available. This section of water is calm, clear and quiet with a palm lined shore free from hawkers. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself the only person on the beach. There are beautiful sweeping views of the outlying islands and boats.

Kluaymai Beach Bungalows are not visible from the street. The unassuming entrance is an understatement of the lovely property that lies within. Bangrak is vastly quieter than Chaweng or Lamai and has a more local feel. If you want to party, this is not the place. That said, there are still restaurants, bars, shops, motorbike rental facilities, banks and agencies. Bangrak is also in a convenient location on the island: it is walking distance to the piers, including Big Buddha pier, and a short drive to Koh Samui airport and Bo Phut’s fisherman’s village full of high end restaurants, bars and shops. It is only 15 km to Chaweng Beach.
