Tongtip Mansion also supports Dog And Cat Rescue Samui. The Dog and Cat Rescue Samui is an organization which was started by 2 foreign animal lovers visiting Koh Samui after seeing the thousands of stray, starving and sick dogs and cats on the island. With their initiative and passion, the Dog Rescue Centre Samui was founded in April 1999 and now provides free neutering, treatment, medication and vaccinations to Samui's dogs and cats in need. Tongtip Mansion has information and a donation box for the organization in their property. Guests are recommended to make a donation and can offer their time and hands by being a volunteer at the centre during their stay. You can also sponsor a dog or cat for 15 Euro/month by visiting the above website or visiting the house in Chaweng or shelter in Ban Taling Ngam. All donations go to the expensive treatment costs for looking after the animals.
